Description
Product Overview:
The highly versatile Isopure Blood RNA purification kit utilizes our proprietary paramagnetic bead-based technology to isolate total RNA from PAX gene preserved blood, as well as EDTA/Citrate preserved blood samples.
First, the process constitutes blood samples being lysed and protein digested. Subsequently, the DNA/RNA is immobilized onto the magnetic particles allowing removal of contaminants. The DNA is removed by DNase I treatment, and RNA is recovered with a simple procedure. This protocol may be modified for microRNA and DNA isolation. Genomic DNA can be isolated if not performing DNase I digestion.
Key Features:
- Protocol can be performed in both 96-well plate and single tube formats
- 400 μL of preserved blood sample can be processed in a 96-well plate or in a 1.5 mL tube format, and a 24-well plate may be used to process a large volume of blood
- More than 1 μg of RNA may be obtained from 400 μL blood
- Process is fully automated, except for initial proteinase digestion
- No brownish or greenish color in eluate
- No plate transfer is needed
Recommended Automation Platform:
- Using the Beckman Coulter RNAdvance for blood script on Biomek platform is recommended; the protocols are the same (but reagents are not interchangeable)
